Overview
Twenty-five minutes from your hotel the road starts climbing. We stop at Medeu, the high-altitude skating rink where dozens of world records were set, then ride the gondola up to Shymbulak and on to Talgar Pass at 3,200 metres. Snow at the top well into spring, wildflowers in summer, and tea with a view the whole year round.
